Other Information / Remarks
|
Frank Johnson had previous service with the York and Lancaster Regiment. His service No. was 60852. He was born in Bubwith,
Yorkshire and enlisted in York. He was the second of the Johnson brothers to die in the war.
The Johnson family was a large one, there being eight children. Five sons and three daughters, of which Richard was the
third son and Frank the fifth.
There was a third Johnson from Scholes who served in the war, and survived, but it is unlikely that Private A. Johnson
was from the same family as there is no mention of him in the 1901 census.
